"We always try to be very open and honest, we're open books with our lives, we wanted to give you guys a quick update on something that's happening over here in the Manno family but I'm not stressing about it," Kevin began in the clip.

"I know that Ali shared this recently that I had to go in for a scan biopsy and then like a CT scan and it came back that I do have thyroid cancer, but I'm not freaking out, it's all good."

Ali explained that the cancer had gotten into Kevin's lymph node, and although they've been told it's "easy to remedy" they don't want to "downplay what cancer is and what it means to so many people".

February 10 is the date of Kevin's surgery to have the cancer removed or in his words, "we're gonna knock it out and it'll be behind us".

Throughout the entire clip he remained positive constantly assuring fans that he'll be fine, with Ali adding that sometimes she feels he's "too positive" about the situation.

"I need this," he said in response. "That's where I need my mind to be, I'm not supposed to be stressed you know, so I need to be positive about this."

Ali responded, "I know, you want to get the stress out of life and the good thing is like, so not only did we meet with the surgeon that's going to do Kevin's surgery and remove – we're not quite sure if it's going to be half his thyroid or his entire thyroid yet – we also met with another oncologist to get a second opinion and learn."

"And he basically, the first thing he said to us was 'If you have to get cancer, this is the cancer you want to get'.

"Because it's so treatable, he called it a 'boring cancer'."

The couple asked their followers to share their personal experiences with thyroid cancer, specifically stories about having either half or full thyroid removed when the cancer is only on one side.

However, they asked for stories and messages of support to specifically be sent to Ali and not Kevin.

"I get a little overwhelmed and stressed out when it's like 'this story, this story, this story, this story' so, she wants the stories," he said.

"And she's been great through this whole thing. She's the best," Kevin added.

"Enjoy every day, hug your kids, hug your family, tell your friends you love 'em."
