TV presenter Alison Hammond has shown off her shrinking figure in a tight leopard print dress.

The Great British Bake Off host, 49, has shed a mammoth 11 stone after committing to a lifestyle change which saw her cut out sweets and fatty foods, and train regularly with a personal trainer. She has denied taking weight-loss medication, but has admitted that she wouldn't rule it out in the future.

She said in new interview: "I think that, for people who need to use them, they’re a good thing - but for me, as soon as I hear any scare story, I get frightened. So I haven’t wanted to use them, but that’s not to say I wouldn’t in the future, and I certainly wouldn’t look down on anyone who did."

The This Morning presenter, who at her heaviest weighed 28 stone, decided to shed the pounds following the death of her mother, who had expressed concern after learning that Alison was pre-diabetic. Alison continued to Good Housekeeping UK: "My mum had type 2 diabetes and she was worried for me, so when I then found out that I was pre-diabetic, that was frightening."

Revealing the secret to her astounding weight loss, Alison said: "I thought, I have to be an adult about this. The sweets had to stop – and the fatty foods. Twice a week, I see my personal trainer and I have a couple of weights in my bedroom. I walk, I stretch and sometimes I do a bit of yoga."

Alison previously disclosed that an embarrassing experience on a plane was another catalyst for her decision to shed the pounds. Speaking on This Morning, she said: "I was nearly 28 stone I'll be honest with you and that is morbidly obese. And I used to buy an extra seat because I didn't want to put anyone in a situation where I was touching them."

She recalled a particular incident, stating: "I was made to feel uncomfortable on one occasion when I was so close to someone's seat and they asked to move but they ended up moving me into first class. It was embarrassing the whole thing and from that moment I just started buying two seats. I don't do it anymore because I've lost a bit of timber but not everyone can afford to do that."

Alison also opened up about her personal battles with her size: "I was in a situation where I was morbidly obese. I had to lose weight because I was dying, I really was dying. People will still say I'm big but now I'm 17 stone rather than 28 stone and I'm comfortable with telling you my weight."
