Amanda Holden faced a firm "no" from Ryanair staff when she requested ice with her rosé on multiple flights, according to comedian Alan Carr.

The 53-year-old star and Alan would travel between the UK and Italy while filming Amanda & Alan's Italian Job TV show.

And while travelling to the European nation, Alan said Amanda would enjoy a drink on the plane.

On the Saving Grace podcast with GK Barry, Alan shared: "When we did the first series we flew with Ryanair and Amanda every time asking 'can I have ice with my rose' and they were like 'no'."

He humorously added: "Every time was no, unless they go and scrape it off the wings love, there's going to be no ice on this flight. She thinks it's the Ivy with wings. I'm like 'love, you're lucky'."

While Amanda opted for rosé, Alan himself enjoys an Aperol spritz, a cocktail made with prosecco, Aperol, and soda water.

The duo has also embarked on a new adventure in Spain for their show Spanish Job, where they aim to uncover the "unloved and forgotten" areas of Costa Del Sol, showcasing their renovation skills on a dilapidated property and exploring Andalusia.

Alan expressed his fondness for Spain, saying he "loves Spain", reports the Daily Record.

Alan, speaking to the BBC, expressed his excitement: "It's always exciting when a show you love gets recommissioned but the fact that we will be bringing our unique DIY expertise to a whole different country makes it even more special.

"We are saying ciao for now and Hola España!

"Can't wait to grab our power tools and get our hard hats on and bring some much needed TLC to a casa in Spain!"

Ryanair has been approached for comment.
