British rapper Slowthai arrived at Oxford Crown Court today after he was accused of rape.

The 29-year-old – who pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape last year – arrived in court holding hands with wife and The Voice star Anne-Marie Nicholson to face his trial.

In May last year the musician – behind songs including Feel Away and Selfish – appeared at Oxfordshire Magistrates’ Court, where he was charged with oral and vaginal penetration of a woman without her consent in 2021.

Following the hearing Slowthai – real name Tyron Frampton – wrote in a statement shared on X: ‘Regarding the allegations being reported about me I categorically deny the charges.

‘I am innocent and confident my name will be cleared. Until then I will apply my energy to ensure this is concluded swiftly and justly.

‘I ask that my supporters don’t comment about this situation and respect the process and privacy of my family during this time.’

Frampton held hands with Anne-Marie as he walked into court seemingly smiling, while wearing a moss green jumper and black trousers.

Meanwhile, Anne-Marie walked by his side in an over-sized black suit and a fluffy black hat which sat on top of her long electric pink hair.

Last year co-accused Alex Blake-Walker also pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting the woman Frampton is accused of raping during the same alleged incident.

Blake-Walker also denied charges of rape and sexual assault against a second complainant.

The defendants were released on bail following the 2023 court date.

The rapper confirmed last year that he and Anne-Marie were an item after they secretly married in July 2022 in Las Vegas.

The pair welcomed a daughter together in February called Seven.

Following the rape charges against him last year, Frampton withdrew from his Wembley performance in July 2023.

He had been scheduled to perform at Glastonbury as well as Reading and Leeds that year, but his name was removed from the line-ups.

Appearing in court in May last year, he spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address in Northampton.
