Anya Taylor-Joy left 'shaken' after 'masked raiders target London mansion while she was inside'

Hollywood actress Anya Taylor-Joy and her musician husband Malcolm McRae were reportedly targeted in a terrifying robbery in a London mansion

Anya Taylor-Joy was reportedly the target of a burglary in London.

The Hollywood actress and her musician husband were said to have been in the bedroom of the mansion when masked raiders tried to access the room. It's said the incident left the pair shaken-up but not physically hurt.

The 28-year-old star of The Queen's Gambit and her husband Malcolm McRae were reportedly in the property with McRae's bandmate Kane Richotte when the masked raiders forced their way into the North London property last February. It's claimed glass was allegedly smashed during the incident, according to The Standard.

The publication said the reports have only just been made public following their nine-month legal battle for reporting restrictions on the case to be lifted.

McRae and Taylor-Joy are said to have tied the knot in September 2023 in a lavish ceremony in Venice in front of more than 150 guests. She is said to have initially eloped to New Orleans in for a secret marriage before the Italian ceremony. The couple had began dating two years earlier.

Speaking to WWD.com, Anya explained how her love story was uniquely shared on their big day. She said: "I wanted our love story to be embroidered on the dress. I didn't want to wear white, I don't know why, but there's so much embroidery."

Detailing the unique elements of the dress, she added: "You've got a little speedboat because my dad was a world powerboat champion when he was younger. And we've got things for my husband's family, coordinates - the whole story."

Elsewhere in the interview, she admitted that due to her hectic schedule, she hasn't had the chance to fully unpack since moving into her Los Angeles home three years ago. She went on: "My work life moves so fast that my private life tends to not necessarily catch up. I've owned my house for two, or three years, and I still haven't fully unpacked. Everything is just basically liveable."
