Bargain Hunt star Roo Irvine has revealed her frightening Halloween costume on social media.

The TV presenter and antiques expert looked very different from her usual self as she shared an eerie black-and-white photo of herself in a striped top, holding a fake sword.

Roo also showed off a brand new hair transformation, as she chopped off her hair to unveil a new short fringe, which stopped around her eyebrows.

She showcased her Halloween costume to her fans on social media, with the post garnering over 800 likes.

On Instagram, Roo wrote: “Happy Halloween my gorgeous ghouls! Always be kind & soft of heart & if not... I'm watching! P.S... any black cats that cross your path, blow them a kiss & bid them a safe journey home! Love you all!”

Irvine has been a familiar face on our screens for nearly a decade. Discovered by the producers of Antiques Road Trip in 2015, the Scottish antiques dealer has since appeared in several BBC daytime shows, including Bargain Hunt and Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.

The TV star has also featured on Mastermind, House of Games, and Pointless, and even launched her own podcast.

While Roo tends to keep her private life away from the spotlight, she has shared the poignant experience of her father's passing.

She revealed that she and her husband of twelve years, who also lost his own father, stepped down from their senior positions to care for their widowed mothers.

She wrote on her website: "Kilcreggan Antiques came about quite by (bad) luck when suddenly, and unexpectedly, in 2013 my wonderful Dad passed away. I was heartbroken and devastated.

"Then just three weeks later my husband Mark also lost his father to a long battle with cancer. We walked away from our senior corporate jobs and focused on taking care of our widowed mothers."

Roo added "I'd always loved antiques and had developed a keen eye, so my husband suggested we 'go for it' and Kilcreggan Antiques was born. Out of some of my darkest days came a sliver of light. Fate?"

The pocaster has been married to her husband Mark, an Independent Councillor based in Argyll and Bute, since 2012. She frequently shares pictures of them together on her social media.
