Fans of EastEnders were left feeling rather confused during the latest episode as Nish Panesar, who was at death's door a few episodes prior, appeared fighting fit.
The famous East End drama was back with another nail-biting episode on Tuesday night with Nish back to his usual old tricks. Torturing his poor wife Suki, Nish demanded to know who hit him over the head, leaving him unconscious last year Christmas.
After threatening Suki, she finally revealed that it was Denise Fox was the culprit. Shocked by her admission, Nish said: "I'm sorry. I mean it's a bit ironic, isn't it? My whole life you despised me as a murderer but when push comes to shove, we're the same."
Suki replied in disgust: "We are not the same!" But despite the drama unfolding on screen, fans were distracted and confused with just how well Nish was. A few weeks back Nish, who has a terminal heart condition and is in need of a transplant, was in hospital fighting for his life.
Seeing his massive improvement, eagle-eyed viewers had plenty to say about it. Heading over to X baffled fans shared their thoughts.
One said: "Wait, isn’t Nish dying of a heart condition? What happened to that? Where is he getting all this energy to shout and scream and throw his weight around? He was gasping for breath in a hospital bed a couple of weeks ago!"
Another echoed: "Did #Eastenders forget about Nish's heart condition when he was grabbing and shouting at Suki tonight? Last time he did that he was almost at death's door..."
A third shared: "Nish is doing bloody well for somebody supposedly on their deathbed." Meanwhile a fourth added: "Nish should just hurry up and die, he was knocking on deaths door a few weeks ago. Where's he got the sudden energy from to be terrorising Suki?"
Later on in the show, while on her own, Suki made an emotional call to Eve, where she confessed over voicemail that she loved her, and she was the only person she wanted to be with. However she then called Nish downstairs, and reluctantly told him that to keep him quiet about the Six and Denise hitting him over the head last year, she would allow him to "take her back" from Eve for one night.
EastEnders airs Mondays-Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
