Becky Vardy raises eyebrows with cryptic 'pigeon’ comment seemingly about Coleen Rooney

Rebekah Vardy famously compared Coleen Rooney to a pooping pigeon amid their explosive Wagatha Christie fallout - and appears to have dragged up the reference online

Rebekah Vardy has sparked confusion with a cryptic message that might be a swipe at arch nemesis Coleen Rooney.

The 42-year-old mother-of-six sensationally fell out with 38-year-old mother-of-four Coleen when she was accused of selling stories about her to the press. The ladies argument spiralled into a multi-million pound 2022 court case which incinerated their once close friendship.

Back at the beginning of their fall-out, Rebekah took a playful swipe at Coleen in the press, comparing her to a pigeon that would poop in her hair. And this week, the WAG - who is married to Leicester City captain football player Jamie Vardy, 37 - appeared to hint at her past comments with a new social media post.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Rebekah shared a screenshot of herself from her 2017 appearance on ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! - a show that Coleen has signed up to star on this year. She posted the image alongside a caption that stated: "That feeling when you start seeing rehashed nonsense."

She also added an animated graphic of a pigeon presenting its bottom towards the viewer that then squirted out a steady stream of bird poop. Back in 2019, Rebekah told the Daily Mail that arguing with Coleen would be like feuding with the breed of bird. She said at the time: "It would be like arguing with a pigeon. You can tell it that you are right and it is wrong, but it's still going to s*** in your hair."

Meanwhile, a new report has suggested that Coleen has laid down the law for her upcoming stint in the jungle - handing notoriously untrustworthy husband Wayne Rooney, 39, a list of orders on how to behave while she is away from home. A source claimed to The Sun: “Everyone close to Coleen is very aware of what has gone on in the past, and will be staying in close contact with Wayne while she’s away. His football schedule means he can’t fly out to join her so he’ll be watching it from Plymouth. The family want nothing to spoil Coleen’s experience on the show and they’re making it their business to ensure it can’t. Everyone will be checking in on Wayne and, as a family, they’ll be cheering her on to the final.”

Wayne famously faced accusations that he cheated on Coleen with prostitutes while she was pregnant with one of her children. He has also faced accusations of sleeping with a grandmother prostitute who went by the nickname Auld Slapper. In 2017 he sparked a flurry of headlines as he was pulled over by police while at the wheel of 'party girl' Laura Simpson's car - igniting an avalanche of speculation about what he was doing with the office worked after closing time.
