Billy Ray Cyrus showed his support for daughter Miley Cyrus after her win at the 2025 Grammys, sharing a celebratory message amid their family feud.

“Congratulations @mileycyrus and @beyonce on their well-deserved @recordingacademy Grammy wins! Couldn’t be prouder!!!” the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer, 63, posted to Instagram on Sunday, February 2, next to a photo of the two music icons and a red heart emoji.

Miley, 32, won her third-ever Grammy for her collaboration with Beyoncé that appeared on the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer’s country album Cowboy Carter. The pair took home the Grammy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “II MOST WANTED,” which featured Miley.

Fans were supportive of Billy Ray’s pride in his daughter’s honor.

“Your daughter won COUNTRY GRAMMYS and you never won this one. I know you’re proud of her,” one fan commented along with red heart emojis. Another person said it was the “best song on the album,” while a follower told Billy Ray, “Her success is your success as a father. So happy to see you proud of her.”

Miley and Billy Ray’s estrangement dates back to after her mom, Tish Cyrus, filed for divorce from the “Old Town Road” artist in 2022. When Tish, 57, married actor Dominic Purcell in August 2023, Miley and siblings Brandi Cyrus and Trace Cyrus were on hand, while Noah Cyrus and Braison Cyrus both skipped the nuptials.

Miley brought Tish, Brandi, 37, and her boyfriend, Maxx Morando, as her dates to the 2024 Grammy Awards. Upon winning Record of the Year for “Flowers,” the Tennessee native thanked members of her team, her “mommy,” Brandi and Maxx, 26.

“Thank you all so much,” she jokingly added before pausing and giving a shrug. “I don’t think I forgot anyone, but I might’ve forgotten underwear. Bye!” noticeably not mentioning her dad.

“Miley and Billy Ray are on the outs,” a source told Us Weekly on February 14, 2024. “Miley’s very close with her mom and is standing by her.”

“He’s tried reaching out to Miley many times and congratulated her on her Grammys,” the insider added. “The kids have chosen sides, but friends are hoping the rift doesn’t last forever.”

Tish was once again by the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s side at the 2025 Grammys ceremony on Sunday, February 2, along with Maxx.

The appearance came less than two weeks after Mileys older brother, Trace, 35, wrote an open letter to Billy Ray via Instagram saying he was “genuinely worried” about the country star following his performance during Donald Trump‘s presidential inaugurationon January 20.

“I barely recognize now. It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you. You may be upset with me for posting this, but I really could care less at this point. Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years, but you’ve pushed all of us away,” Trace wrote in a January 22 Instagram post.

“Noah desperately has wanted you to be a part of her life, and you haven’t even been there for her. That’s your baby girl. She deserves better. Somehow just like me she still idolizes you though. We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew & hoping for the day he returns.”

“You’re not healthy Dad & everyone is noticing it,” Trace continued. “As I write this with tears in my eyes, I hope you realize this message only comes from a place of love and also fear that the world may lose you far too soon. I love you, Dad. We haven’t talked in a while but I’m over a year and half clean from alcohol. Guess what? I feel amazing. I don’t know what you’re struggling with exactly but I think I have a pretty good idea & I’d love to help you if you would open up and receive the help.”

Three days later, Trace claimed Billy Ray threatened him with legal action over the open letter. He added in the Instagram text post, “Everyone close to you is terrified to tell you how they really feel. I’m not. Get help.”
