Demi Lovato has suffered a horrific family tragedy.
The star's sister, Madison De La Garza, announced on Instagram that her newborn daughter, Xiomara, sadly died last month after she had an emergency C-section.
Praising her "most perfect angel in heaven', Madison, 22, wrote: "On the evening of September 27th, after an emergency c-section, Ryan and I held our little girl for the first and last time. Thank you, Xiomara, for making us parents to the most perfect angel in heaven. Mommy and Daddy love you sweet girl."
Demi, 32, bravely commented on her sister's post, writing: "I love you so much, Xiomara. An angel in every sense of the word. I'll be your auntie forever."

Madison and Demi's sister, Dallas, 36, also paid tribute to Xiomara, writing: "Baby girl Xiomara, I miss you everyday. I'll take good care of your mom, so you can fly away. Watch over us and guide us and give us little signs. One day we'll come and see you, it just might take some time."
Madison, who played Juanita Solis on Desperate Housewives as a child, had announced she was pregnant at the beginning of September, telling fans that her baby was due in October.
“Oh Ryan, how I love you," she wrote in a Sept. 5 Instagram post, alongside photos of the couple, cradling Madison's baby bump. The actress added: "Thank you for making all of my dreams come true. Baby mitchell 10.24." Ryan commented, "I love you," to which his girlfriend responded, "My everything."
Madison also posted photos of herself celebrating with her family, including her mum, Dianna De La Garza, Dallas and Demi, who later expressed her excitement in the comments section, writing, "I love you and this baby so much already!!"
Just weeks ago, Demi said she was thrilled with the idea of becoming an auntie, telling E! News at the screening for her Hulu documentary Child Star that family is one of the biggest "values" in her life. She said: "I’m really excited to have new life come into our family. Family is very valued to me. I value family and friends over success any day.."
