Brittany Cartwright Doesn’t Think Jax Taylor Changed ‘At All’ in Rehab: ‘A Lot of Rage Texting Was Still Going On’

1 week ago 2

As humans, we like to believe that anyone can change. But did Jax Taylor’s rehab stint actually change him? Brittany Cartwright certainly doesn’t seem to think so.

As fans of The Valley know, Jax recently spent some time in rehab to help treat his mental health, as his representative explained. Almost a month after Jax’s rehab check-in, Brittany filed for divorce. So, it’s not hard to infer that rehab didn’t do much to help Jax and Brittany’s marital issues.

But it may have been deeper than that. Brittany isn’t the only one to suggest that rehab didn’t help Jax. In fact, Zack Wickham even hinted he’s worse after rehab. But how would Brittany herself put it?

Brittany Cartwright says Jax Taylor would cuss her out while in rehab

Brittany recently appeared on Bravo’s Hot Mic Podcast to discuss everything. In reflecting on Jax’s time in rehab, she said, “I don’t feel like he changed at all in those 30 days. And the reason, I mean, I’m sure it’ll be on the show as well, but, you know, a lot of rage texting and stuff was still going on the entire time that he was in rehab.”

“So, for me, I was just noticing like, this is just going to be constant.” Brittany continued, “Like, if you’re in therapy seven hours a day, and you’re still finding time to call me names and cuss me out? And send me rage texts? Then you’re obviously not ever gonna change.” Jax’s experience in rehab made Brittany realize, “This is bad. I can’t stay in this.” She called the experience “eye-opening.”

“Let’s do it now before I change my mind. And I’m so glad I did, and I’m not changing my mind, and I’m happy with my decision.” Even still, Brittany was a little teary-eyed in reflecting on everything. Even Brittany’s mom agreed that she had to get away from Jax, and Brittany’s mom had always loved her husband.

The Valley is streaming on Peacock.
