Carol Vorderman was branded a "deluded" hypocrite as the post-election debate heated up online and was advised to look at the political struggles closer to home before commenting on Donald Trump's victory in the USA.
She was up bright and early this morning, tweeting just after 5:00am. "On @CNN. Looks like Trump will win. God help America and the UK too when he introduces tariffs against us very soon," she exclaimed.
The former Countdown star then launched a furious attack on "right wingers", as she blasted them for their Brexit stance. "Voted Brexit to cut back UK trading with the Euro market.... & cheered on a man who'll cut back trade with USA...well done," she declared sarcastically.
"But....the boats...or should I say the bait?" she concluded. However, Twitter (X) followers soon hit back.
"You literally helped Labour get in and they lied about EVERYTHING! Let the American people choose the American leader…..learn some humility," one sternly told her. Another agreed: "You voted to freeze pensioners and put students in more debt though so there's that."

A third echoed: "You back Labour & look how that's turned out. Left wingers, absolute morons."
Someone else swiped of the LBC radio host: "I enjoyed you on Countdown. It’s a shame that you’ve become deluded."
"Given that he has promised to end the wars as opposed to [Kamala] Harris who has funded them... what's your problem?" quizzed another.
Others expressed fears that the UK could become "isolated" and lose the benefits from the special relationship the two countries have enjoyed over the past 80 years as a result of Labour's stance towards Trump.

Though he has been congratulated by key figures in the current government, he has also been slammed by those same politicians.
David Lammy publicly declared today that "the UK has no greater friend than the US, with the special relationship being cherished on both sides of the Atlantic for more than 80 years" and that he was "looking forward to working with [Trump] and @JDVance in the years ahead".
However, just a few years earlier, he'd branded him a "Neo-Nazi sympathising sociopath" and tweeted that he would protest if Trump visited London during his first term as President in 2017.
One tweeter exclaimed: "If there is an isolation for the U.K. it will be thanks to the Labour’s nasty comments about Trump. They’ve burned their bridges. Our only hope might actually come through Nigel [Farage]..."
