Charlie's Angels star, Jaclyn Smith, still looks sensational 48 years after the cult classic launched.

The actress, now 79, shot to fame playing plucky Kelly Garrett alongside Farrah Fawcett and Kate Jackson in the iconic show from 1976 until 1981.

It's been a while since fans have seen the Texan-born star on TV after Jaclyn decided to turn her hand to fashion designing after appearing in a staggering 50 films. However, she still looks ready for her close-up in a striking snap on Instagram.

Posed to perfection, sporting a sparkling festive jumper and pencil skirt, the star looks years much younger than 79 as she stares studiously out of the window, boasting a now golden blonde blow-out and elegant make-up. Captioning the snap, which was liked by her legion of loyal followers, Jaclyn mused: "When the light hits your holiday sweater just right."

Jaclyn, who has also launched her own perfume, appeared in all 110 episodes of Charlie's Angels until it ended after five years. Her legendary sidekick Farrah Fawcett (Jill Munroe) sadly died in 2009 after a long battle with cancer.

In 2002, Jaclyn too was diagnosed with breast cancer, but was fortunately able beat the disease. She told New York Daily News previously: "My mammogram the year before (my diagnosis) was totally clear. I didn't feel anything, no bump or lump. It's so important that we take care of ourselves and get those regular check-ups... I'm here and I'm so grateful."

Charlie's Angels — voted TV programme of the year in the UK twice during the 70s — made an overnight success of Jaclyn, Farrah and Kate, but also featured patriarch Charlie, who was never seen but always heard on a speakerphone that was surrounded by women.

The show was revamped in 2003 and starred Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu. Jaclyn also made an appearance in the film in a training scene.

Last year, fans of the show were thrilled to see Kate and Jaclyn together at a wedding, with their reunion described as "wonderful" by Jaclyn.

The women, were the original leads in the beloved TV series alongside the late Farrah. More than four decades since it ended, Kate and Jaclyn - who played Sabrina Duncan and Kelly Garrett respectively - were spotted together at the wedding of Jaclyn's son Gaston Richmond to Bonnie Lane Richmond.

Married four times, Jaclyn got hitched first to actor Roger Davis, then to actor Dennis Cole, then to Anthony, and finally to Brad Allen, her present spouse. Aside from her two children with Anthony, she has no other children.
