Christian Horner has shone a light on the state of his marriage to Spice Girls icon Geri Halliwell after their romance was rocked by misconduct allegations earlier this year.
Back in February, millionaire Formula 1 boss Christian, 51, was accused of "inappropriate, controlling behaviour” by a female Red Bull employee. The sport boss furiously denied the allegations - and was ultimately cleared of any wrongdoing and granted the chequered flag to continue in his role as Red Bull team principal.
The scandal drew negative attention to his marriage to Ginger Spice Geri, 52 - but she loyally stood by him throughout the scandal. When they appeared at the Bahrain Grand Prix in March, in the midst of the allegations, the pair very firmly stood together, walked hand in hand, and kissed in front of the world's cameras.
Now, months after the shocking allegations were made, Christian has peeled back the covers of his marriage and has praised his wife. The F1 boss and Geri have been married since 2015 and they welcomed a son in 2017, who is the younger brother of Geri's daughter, Bluebell Madonna, who is now aged 18.

Getty Images)Speaking to the Daily Mail, Christian said: “What happened at the start of the year felt like a perfect storm. In life, it is a great lesson that the more success you have, the more of a target you become. Anything that can be used to unsettle and destabilise you and the team and the business. What disappointed me more than anything was the steps that people went to in order to try and achieve that. You just stay true to yourself and I am very fortunate that I have got a tremendous family. My wife has been unbelievable, fantastic."
He continued: “Your partner is always the one you share your difficulties with. She has been absolutely outstanding and hugely supportive. She saw through a lot of things from having an outside perspective and it is good to have that weight and measure. It is hugely important. You learn about yourselves in times of difficulty and I was absolutely determined that we would navigate through the difficult waters.”
Geri and Christian first met in 2009 due to Geri's friendship with F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone, but it was never suggested there were any romantic feelings at this stage as Christian was with his long-term partner Beverley Allen. Geri previously described her husband as her best friend, saying: "He knows me inside out. I don't edit myself with him. It was a big learning curve."
And Christian has previously gushed about his marriage, telling The Telegraph in the past: "Life works in mysterious ways. didn't marry Geri because she's a Spice Girl. I married her because I fell in love with her. It will be 10 years this time next year, and we've been happily married for seven. We're very different characters, but we complement each other well."
