Christine McGuinness has showed her support for her ex-husband Paddy despite feeling "devastated" over some jokes he made about their divorce during his stand-up comedy tour.

The 36-year-old model took to the streets with two bunches of colourful balloons after her ex finished the Children in Need Ultra Endurance Cycle Challenge, raising £7,556,853 for the charity. Paddy, 51, broke down in tears after pushing himself to the limit and pedalling an incredible 300 miles from Wrexham AFC to Glasgow on a Raleigh Chopper.

Christine, who shares three children with Paddy, stepped out holding balloons with the writing "well done, daddy" on them as he completed the challenge. She was pictured smiling as she wore a low-cut black playsuit paired with sheer tights and knee-high boots.

As Paddy arrived in Glasgow and cycled towards BBC Scotland's Pacific Quay headquarters this morning, crowds of people lined the city streets and cheered him. He began his journey on Monday and arrived at 10.28am today. He was welcomed by Zoe Ball, who was presenting a live broadcast of the Radio 2 Breakfast Show in the foyer.

The Top Gear presenter said that Glasgow was "lit up in sunshine" as he approached the city this morning. As he finished the epic challenge, Paddy said: "Every morning when I woke up everything was aching and it was always dark and cold but I've been saying it for the last few days, when you get on the bike, and you get on the road and everyone comes out it just spurs you on.

"Even though we're filming stuff and putting things on social media; until you're actually in that moment, I will never be able to get it across fully what it felt like. All the different sounds, all the cities, all the communities. Everyone came out and everyone were together for something.

"And all those faces, all the kids, all the nurseries, all the primary schools, all drawing pictures of Patch - none of them had a clue who I were - but it was just so beautiful to see and the streets were lined with people. Honestly it's a moment in time I'll take with me to my grave. I'll never ever forget it. It's been amazing."

Paddy and Christine were married for 11 years and split in 2022, but they still live together to co-parent their kids and ensure a stable environment for them. Last month, Paddy returned to live comedy for the first time in almost a decade to perform his Nearly There show. But shortly after the show at King George's Hall in Blackburn began, he made a joke about his divorce from Christine, saying it was "all about love and respect tonight" and that he didn't care "what race you are, what religion, what your sexuality is."

According to The Sun, Paddy said: "Tonight, folks, we're all here as human beings with one common goal - and that's to help me pay for my divorce. I've had the pants down, me, the pants down." However, sources close to Christine told the newspaper that she had been "horrified" that Paddy made jokes on their relationship on stage since she has "kept a respectful silence during their divorce proceedings." A source also added that Christine had been "distraught" at the idea people were laughing at their split.

Earlier this week, it emerged that Paddy's sitcom about his life and divorce was axed by the BBC over concerns it would be "distasteful and insensitive" for his former wife. The show, named Paddy, had set to be commissioned by the BBC after it saw a pilot in which the comedian and writer played himself. The mockumentary spoof followed a comic going through a break-up, and also featured comedian Josh Pugh, 35, who revealed they filmed at an Airbnb standing in for Paddy's house.
