Coleen Rooney has revealed that glam nights out with her husband Wayne Rooney are "quite rare nowadays", as she prepares for her stint on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

The 38 year old mum of four made the admission in a recent interview as she discussed what she prefers to wear on her date nights with the former England footballer. She confessed: "If we were going for a local meal I’d wear jeans, flats and a fine knit. If we were going to a concert I’d get heels on with jeans."

She added to The Times: "I do enjoy getting dressed up for a black-tie event — they are quite rare nowadays. I have my eye on a few dresses from Self-Portrait that would be perfect for a big event." Coleen is one of a number of high profile names to join this year's line-up of the ITV show. And her reported record-breaking signing comes after her court battle, dubbed Wagatha Christie, with fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy.

In 2019, Coleen accused Rebekah, who is married to footballer Jamie Vardy, of leaking stories to the press from her private social media account. The pair were then involved in a bitter court battle which saw Coleen's allegations upheld by a judge. And to make matters worse, Rebekah has been instructed by the court to pay Coleen's court fees - which was more than she had expected.

After taking Coleen to court for the second time earlier this year over legal fees Rebekah lost her battle once again. But this has not derailed her desire to see Coleen follow in her footsteps on the ITV show. A report has claimed that Rebekah feels as though Coleen is a hypocrite for joining the show.

And its believed Rebekah feels Coleen could place herself in danger of legal consequences if she reveals details about their court case, or makes slanderous comments about her. A source told The Sun: "Coleen was banging on during the trial, claiming she was such a private person, and now she’s going on one of the most watched shows on television.

They added: "She’s just doing what Becky has already done. Becky hopes that she does talk about Wagatha Christie, because it will be a major payday for her." Despite Coleen's salary not being confirmed, its believed she has made history as the highest paid star to join the show - and is earning more than former UKIP leader Nigel Farage who was reportedly paid £1.5 million.
