'Coleen Rooney has always wanted my life,' Rebekah Vardy claims as she reignites feud

Rebekah Vardy, 42, has claimed that her nemesis Coleen Rooney is 'following in her footsteps' by joining I'm a Celebrity - after she starred in the reality show back in 2017

Rebekah Vardy has claimed that Coleen Rooney "always wanted" her life as she took a savage swipe at the WAG's I'm a Celebrity gig.

Five years since Jamie Vardy's wife and Wayne Rooney's wife were involved in a public spat which resulted in a court case, Coleen, 38, is now heading to the jungle to join I'm a Celeb - which Rebekah, 42, starred in back in 2017. But despite the tense relationship between them, the wife of Leicester City striker Jamie said she will be watching the ITV reality show closely.

Rebekah, who jetted off to Dubai with her husband, said: "We'll be watching avidly. Everyone seems to think I have this massive problem with Coleen going into the jungle. But do you know what? If you want to fan the fire, the flames are going to get higher. I wasn't going to carry on talking about this, I had no intention of talking about it, but she clearly can't let it go."

The WAG spoke out as she joined The Sun as the newspaper's I'm a Celebrity columnist and claimed that Coleen has been trying to copy her steps - even wondering whether she will join Dancing on Ice in the future, as she previously did. Rebekah said: "I mean, we've done a book, we've done a documentary, we're going into the jungle. What's next - Dancing On Ice? She's following in my footsteps. I think she always wanted my life."

Rebekah also claimed that "everything Coleen does is quite calculated" as she revealed during the interview: "I don't say this to be nasty, I say this because it's an opinion of mine. She likes to be the victim. She's been in this industry for a long time, she knows what she's doing, she knows how to play the game. I think she'll go into the jungle with a game plan.

"She knows how the public will perceive her. I think the public see her as a victim - a hard-working woman that's endured a lot through a man's infidelities and all of the stuff that he's put her through." It comes as Coleen, 38, picked collagen - which she swears by to keep her hair, nails and skin in top condition - as her choice of luxury item to bring into the jungle.

A show insider said: "She's always looked after herself, and this is just part of her routine. She absolutely swears by collagen and it was non negotiable. It's one of her secret weapons for staying healthy. Most people would be sneaking in bars of chocolate, but she's packed plenty of collagen sachets to keep up with her daily regime!"
