Coronation Street viewers were stunned after they spotted DS Lisa Swain's wife Becky for the first time on the ITV soap - and they rushed to social media to point it out

Coronation Street fans were left stunned after spotting DS Lisa Swain's wife Becky on the popular ITV soap.

Lisa, played by Vicky Myers, first appeared on the show in 2021, with her mischievous daughter Betsy, portrayed by Sydney Martin, making her debut earlier this year. Little is known about Lisa's history, except that her wife and fellow police officer, Becky, tragically died in the line of duty.

According to Lisa, Becky was pursuing a suspect who jumped into a getaway car and fatally struck her down at the scene. In a twist of fate, while embarking on a new romantic journey with Carla Connor, played by Alison King, Lisa made a shocking discovery about her wife's death last month, implicating thug brothers Matty (Seamus McGoff) and Logan (Harry Lowbridge).

Last week, their other brother Mason Radcliffe, played by Luca Toolan, decided to assist Lisa in bringing his wicked brothers to justice. Lisa showed Mason crime scene photos from the day of her late wife Becky's tragic death.

She revealed that his brothers Matty and Logan were driving the car that killed Becky, prompting Mason to take action. Despite obtaining a piece of evidence leading to his brothers' arrest, they were released from jail as the evidence wasn't sufficient to hold them, reports Lancs Live.

The plot took a chilling turn when Matty and Logan pursued Mason and stabbed him, resulting in Mason's subsequent death.

Corrie watchers were left absolutely flabbergasted when they caught a glimpse of what looked like Becky in a recent instalment. During the Jan 8 episode, there was some serious chinwagging happening at the cop shop with Betsy and Lisa.

But it was a sneaky snap on Lisa's desk that grabbed viewers' attention. The photo showed a raven-haired lady cuddling up with a tot, and the fans reckon they've cracked it that's got to be Becky and baby Betsy.

Telly buffs took to a Corrie fan page on Facebook to spill their thoughts, with one eagle-eyed viewer posting: "Did anyone else notice the photo on Lisa's desk what looked like it could be Betsy and her mum Becky?"

Another couldn't help but join in: "Yes it's Becky and baby Betsy. Clearly Lisa has a type she likes. I love Swarla." Meanwhile, a third popped up saying: "Such a cute picture. She definitely looks like Carla! " And yet another added, "Yes I noticed that."
