The new owners of the home where Matthew Perry died have revealed what they plan to do with the property as they shared pictures of themselves enjoying the view.

It's been just over a year since Perry was found unresponsive at his home in Los Angeles, California on October 28, 2023, with his death later attributed to complications with ketamine.

The Friends star had moved into the home in 2020, and shared a picture of himself enjoying the pool just days before his death.

The house went up for sale after Perry passed away, though the new owner has revealed it was kept 'off-market'.

In a post shared on Instagram, real estate developer Anita Verma-Lallian confirmed she was the new owner of the house after closing the deal with estate agent Brooke Elliott Laurinkus.

A series of images showed Verma-Lallian and her husband at the property, sitting outside overlooking the pool where Perry died.

In a caption alongside the images, she explained they were doing a 'blessing and a prayer', as is customary in Hinduism.

Verma-Lallian wrote: "We are so excited to share that we bought a home in Los Angeles earlier this month! Our agent, @brooke.elliott.laurinkus, said she had an amazing 'off-market' property that she really wanted us to see."

"The moment I walked into the home, I absolutely fell in love with the features, especially the view of the Pacific Ocean," she continued. "We knew it was 'the one' and decided to write an offer on it immediately.

"As a real estate developer myself, I believe every property has a history that we may or may not know about, and every home carries the energy that the current owner brings to it. I am Hindu, and it’s customary to do a blessing and prayer anytime you buy a new home. We were so lucky to have our Panditji from Arizona come to the house to do the blessing."

When it comes to their plans for the house, Verma-Lallian assured fans that they're keeping Perry's memory in mind.

She explained: "We chose to honor the positive aspects of the previous owner’s life, his immense talent, and all the joy he brought to so many people. The decision to purchase the home had nothing to do with the previous owner, just our love of the home.

"We do plan to keep some of the design elements. The batman logo in the pool is definitely staying. It’s a piece of paradise that is filled with light and the perfect vacation home for us. Can’t wait to make new memories in it."

Verma-Lallian's followers have congratulated her on the purchase, with many people praising their decision to keep elements of the home as they are.

"Congratulations!," one person wrote. "It's so cool to hear that you are keeping the Batman sign in the pool. It is a great tribute to Matt. Enjoy the new home."
