Courteney Cox has reportedly been holding séances in an attempt to reach out to the late Matthew Perry, who passed away last year, due to "unanswered questions". The Friends star was found dead at 54 in his California home in October 2023, with his death being attributed to "the acute effects of ketamine".
Known for his candid discussions about his struggles with substance abuse and addiction, it's believed that Perry developed an addiction to intravenous ketamine while undergoing treatment for depression and anxiety.
Now, it's emerged that Courteney, aged 60, has been trying to connect with her former on-screen chumthrough multiple Ouija board sessions. Despite her efforts, she's yet to make contact during these "Ouija board evenings".

A source spilled the beans to the Daily Mail: "Courteney has gathered a bunch of friends over multiple times and has organized Ouija board evenings to get in touch with Matthew. She believes there are still many unanswered questions about his life and death, and she wants to get to the bottom of it."
The insider also mentioned that although Courteney, who starred alongside Matthew for ten years on the hit NBC show, hasn't had any success so far, she's determined to keep trying. They added to the publication: "So far [she] hasn't managed to contact Matthew, she plans to continue the seances until she does", reports the Mirror.
Courteney also opened up about some spooky goings-on at her old Los Angeles pad, revealing she had to hold a séance because of an eerie presence that even freaked out a delivery driver. Chatting on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2022, the star dished that she ditched the house after the courier spotted someone lurking behind her.
Earlier this month, Courteney took to Instagram to remember her dear friend Matthew on the first anniversary of his death, posting: "Missing you today and always". Last year, following Matthew's sad departure, Courteney - who famously played his wife on the hit sitcom Friends - expressed being "so grateful for every moment" with him and praised him as "funny" and "kind".
She reminisced: "I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day. When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share."
The actress, known for her role as Monica Geller, also shared a cherished memory with Matthew 'Chandler Bing' Perry, saying: "For now here's one of my favorites. [...] Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one night fling in London. But because of the audience's reaction, it became the beginning of their love story. In [the] scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind."
