Deal Or No Deal viewers were elated with one player's well-deserved win, but they could have bagged a larger amount.
Presenter Stephen Mulhern was back for another nail-biting show on Thursday afternoon (October 31) with one hopeful player desperate to win big. This time, it was Mike's turn in the hot seat to have a go at the ultimate game of fate as he faced the infamous banker head-on.
Starting strong, Mike cleared most of the blue boxes with the lower offers in the first round. But halfway through the game, things started to go downhill rapidly for Mike as he lost out on the chance of winning the jackpot prize of £250,000.
This was later followed by a loss of £50,000. Only receiving low offers from the banker, things were looking bleak for Mike and his wife Penny who was in the audience.
But near the end of the show, things started to pick up for Mike. Luckily the firefighter cleared all of his blue boxes and was left with £2,000, £3,000 and £7,500.
With the banker evidently nervous, Mike was later offered £5,950 for his box. Not sure what to do, Mike later decided to take the deal on the table.
But it was now time to see what the player had in his box. Sadly for Mike, he had a massive £7,500.
Keeping his spirits high, Mike insisted that he was fine with the outcome. Fans at home, who witnessed the turbulent game were also proud of his decision, despite the major loss involved.
Heading over to X, fans shared their support to Mike. One viewer said: "Well done Mike!! Huge respect for the work that you do…& your game of Deal or No Deal!!!!"
Another echoed: "Pleased for him well deserved." A third shared: "Well done Mike on winning £5950 very well deserved, what a humble guy."
A fourth added: "A last-minute deal was struck for £5,950!!! Great job, Mike.....but he could have had £7,500 had he just turned that last offer down."
Meanwhile, another exclaimed: "Shame, didn't quite thrash the Banker, but good game. Thanks for all you and your guys do Mike!!"
