Despite the name, it seems that Disney's Blizzard Beach can't actually cope with a little chill.
The waterpark is closed for the third day in a row due to a snap of freezing weather that has hit Florida.
At Disney World Florida today, AccuWeather predicts a high of 68 F and a low of 46.4 F.
Blizzard Beach—known for its snowy-capped mountains theme—was first closed on December 2, where park temperatures were at a high of 66 F and a low of 42.8 F.
This continued through December 3—the chilliest day of the week so far, with highs of 62.6 F.
Newsweek has emailed Walt Disney World Resort for comment.
Weather permitting, it is hoped that the park will re-open on December 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Those unable to visit the park today can use their tickets on another day or request a refund for their tickets.
These recent days are not the first time the water park has closed due to inclement weather this winter. In November, Blizzard Beach was also closed for a total of three days.
Last year, the park was also closed on multiple days in November and December due to inclement weather.
The other waterpark at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Typhoon Lagoon, is currently closed for annual refurbishment.
Universal's Volcano Bay also closed due to cold temperatures on December 1, 2 and 3. As part of its scheduled limited season, it is closed on December 4 and 5 and expected to reopen on Friday.
First opening in April 1995, Blizzard Beach is the largest waterpark at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and has over 17 slides.
It is open year-round, except for a period of annual maintenance closure during the winter. All water at the park is heated to approximately 80 F.
Current temperatures in Florida
Central Florida is currently experiencing a cold front, with the chilliest air of the season arriving.
Today, News 6 predicts "another cool day, with highs in the mid-60s to low 70s under mostly clear skies with lows dipping back into the mid-30s to low 40s Wednesday morning, especially west of I-95 and in coastal Volusia."
Factoring in the breeze, the station warns wind chill values could drop as low as the "low 30s to mid-40s overnight."
Earlier this week, the National Weather Service (NWS) issued freeze warnings across nine counties in parts of northeast and northcentral Florida.
Frost advisories were also issued for many of these counties.
These cold temperatures are expected to pass as the weekend approaches with temperatures reaching the low to upper 70s.
