Priscilla Presley breaks down during emotional TalkTV interview
Priscilla Presley has paid tribute to her daughter Lisa Marie Presley on the second anniversary of her tragic death. The 79-year-old widow of Elvis Presley shared a throwback photo of Lisa Marie, her only child with the late King of Rock, on Instagram.
Lisa Marie passed away at just 54 years old on January 12, 2023. Priscilla wrote in the caption: “I miss you more than words can say. I wish I could hold you, talk to you, see your smile just one more time.
I wish you could see how much you are still loved, how deeply you are missed by all of us who carry you in our hearts.” She signed off the post simply as 'Mom'.”
Lisa Marie suffered a cardiac arrest at her Calabasas home on January 12, 2023, at approximately 10:30 AM. She was transported to West Hills Hospital, where her heart was restarted en route via CPR.
However, she passed away later that day at the hospital, just days after appearing alongside her mother at the Golden Globes.

Her autopsy revealed that she died from a small bowel obstruction caused by recent bariatric surgery she had undergone to manage obesity conditions.
Although opioids were found in her system, the coroner confirmed they did not contribute to her death. Lisa Marie was interred at Graceland’s Meditation Garden next to her father Elvis and her son Benjamin, who died by suicide in 2020.
Lisa's opioid addiction spiralled out of control to the point where she was taking 80 pills a day, according to revelations in her memoir, From Here To The Great Unknown.
She began her descent into addiction after being prescribed painkillers following the birth of her twin daughters, Finley and Harper, via C-section. Her addiction intensified after her son Benjamin's tragic death in 2020, which left her struggling to cope.

In her memoir, which her eldest daughter, actress, Riley Keough helped complete, Lisa Marie detailed her drugs battle.
The singer wrote: "It escalated to 80 pills a day. It took more and more to get high, and I honestly don't know when your body decides it can't deal with it anymore. But it does decide at some point."
In October, Riley, opened up about her mother's final years during an Oprah Winfrey special. Riley revealed that after Benjamin’s tragic suicide, Lisa Marie kept his body for two months before deciding where to lay him to rest.
"On paper, I could see how this sounds completely insane and absurd, but my mom was just very much herself… You know, she wasn’t a crazy lady,” Riley explained.

She compared her mother’s grieving process to non-Western traditions and said that “everybody in the house was in the grieving process.”
Riley added, “She pulled some wild things off, but I think that the plan was to bury him here (at Graceland) with her dad. And we weren’t gonna come here for about three weeks…
"She knew that the woman was gonna keep my brother at the funeral home, and I think she just didn’t like the idea that he was far away, and she didn’t know what was being done.”
According to Riley, Lisa Marie worked with a compassionate funeral home owner to make the arrangements.
“Basically, she found a very compassionate funeral home owner who was a mother, and she said, ‘Well, look, if you do all these things, you can keep him in a room. You just have to have somebody tend (to the body).’”
She revealed in her book that Benjamin's body was kept at 55 degrees.
