Eminem and Flava Flav were both in attendance at the Detroit Lions‘ regular season finale against the Minnesota Vikings and had a star-studded encounter with legendary Lions running back, Barry Sanders.

On Sunday (Jan. 5), Em and Flav, both longtime fans of the the Lions and Sanders, posed for pictures with the NFL Hall of Famer, which Flava Flav shared with fans on his social media account.

“Name an NFL Team with a more iconic trio!” the renowned personality and hypeman captioned the photo, reference to each’s place within the fabric of American pop culture.

Eminem and Flava Flav soaked in the atmosphere as the Lions secured a decisive 31-9 victory to cap off their remarkable 15-2 regular season.

The win not only secured the top spot in the NFC, but also marked the most victories in a single season in the Lions’ storied history, a feat that hasn’t been seen since the team’s inception in 1930.

Eminem, Flava Flav, and Barry Sanders’ presence at Ford Field was emblematic of the sensational season that Detroit has been having, as the organization has reached heights previously unseen.

After falling short of their first Super Bowl berth after losing to the San Francisco 49ers in last year’s NFC Championship game, the Lions used that disappointment as fuel, finishing the regular season tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for the best record in the NFL.

Detroit’s 31-9 victory over the Vikings helped them clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs for the first time in franchise history, earning the team a first-round bye and favorable odds of being the NFC’s representative in the Super Bowl.
