Fiona Wade, 45, wowed fans with Instagram posts showing off her tropical getaway.
The actress, who played Priya Sharma on Emmerdale from 2011 to 2023, shared two posts showing herself and her husband Simon Cotton - who was her ITV co-star - soaking in the sun and sand of Goa. In her first post, Fiona wrote: “Total body mind and soul reset at the stunning Netravali retreat in South Goa. Such a special place.
Alongside the caption, the Doctors alum shared a video of herself topless as she stood on a balcony overlooking gorgeous greenery, with her bare back visible to the camera. For her second post, Fiona gushed: “North & South Goa… Utterly beautiful. Incredible memories. We met so many beautiful people inside and out. I fell in love with India & the impression it’s left on me will stay with me always. Feeling recharged and blessed.”

Instagram)The star shared plenty of snaps and short clips of herself and Simon on the beach, looking tanned and happy as they soaked up the sun in their swimwear. The couple’s Emmerdale co-star Michelle Hardwick wrote: “These are beautiful Fi,” along with a red heart emoji, while a fan added: “Miss you on TV. Beautiful couple. Enjoy xx”
Fiona’s holiday came after she planned to take a break after leaving Emmerdale in early 2023 - but instead ended up back to work travelling with the play 2:22 A Ghost Story. She explained earlier this year: "I knew that my first job out of Emmerdale had to be the right one, and then this came up. It's honestly been the best decision ever.
"When you leave a soap, I think some people think you made the decision yesterday, but these decisions are taken over years. It was a scary decision, but it was the right one."
She also shared her thoughts on the differences between theatre and TV, saying, "Theatre can feel more scary and in television you're slightly protected by the fact you can do another take, and I was very comfortable in Emmerdale but I wanted a change, I wanted to grow, and I wanted to do something that challenged me."

Instagram)Fiona and Simon got married in a beautiful Baha'i Faith ceremony at the Euridge Manor and Orangery in the Cotswolds in late 2019, and Fiona opened up about how married life works so well for them despite their busy careers.
"I always wanted to be with someone who does the same job as me. It's important that we can support each other. I talk about him a lot because he's really special. Sometimes I think, 'Wow, we're both actors.'," she told OK!
"We don't have normal jobs, but we're actors because we want this kind of life. So it's normal for us. We love our jobs and we love each other. I just want him to be happy, and he wants me to be happy. I believe in him, and I believe in us."
