I Know What You Did Last Summer
Deadline reports Lola Tung, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Austin Nichols and Gabbriette are the latest to join the cast of the new I Know What You Did Last Summer movie.
Scary Movie
Similarly, Regina Hall confirmed to TV Insider she has yet to be asked by the Wayans Bros. to reprise her role as Brenda in the upcoming Scary Movie reboot.
Anna [Farris] is great. I’m just very excited to know that the Wayans, who actually started the project out of their idea, are back on board and at the helm again. I’m excited for them. We’ll see if Brenda is in this new world. I’m thrilled at the possibility that the band could get back together again. That would be fun.
Steamboat
Variety additionally has word Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf) and Kailey Hyman (Terrifier 2) have joined the cast of the Steamboat Willie-inspired horror movie, Steamboat.
Outbreak
Variety too has word Billy Burke (Bella’s dad in the Twilight movies) will star in Outbreak, a new zombie film from director Jeff Wolfe concerning “a state park ranger (Burke) in search of his missing teenage son who is confronted with zombie-like people carrying an infectious disease following a virus outbreak.” Alyshia Ochse, Taylor Handley, Raoul Max Trujillo, Jessica Frances Dukes, Dani Oliveros, and Kylr Coffman are attached to co-star.
Nosferatu
In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Dave Eggers revealed his Nosferatu resembles “more of a folk vampire” than we’re used to seeing.
This Orlok is more of a folk vampire than any other film version. That means he’s a dead person. And he’s not like, “I look great and I’m dead.” Folk vampires in some ways are more visually similar to zombies. The reason why he looks the way he looks and he dresses the way he’s dressed is because for the first time in a Dracula or Nosferatu story, this guy looks like a dead Transylvanian nobleman . Every single thing he’s wearing down to the heels on his shoes is what he would’ve worn. That’s never been done.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3

Fallout

Smallville: The Animated Series
Finally, Tom Welling revealed his planned Smallville animated series isn’t a top priority at DC right now during a recent interview with Screen Rant.
We want it to work. The honest answer is we have not been able to get Warner Brothers to give us the thumbs up. We need their permission. We haven’t even gotten a response! It’s the weirdest thing because it is more of a fan-driven idea. It’s not going to be a blockbuster. It’s not going to be a financial windfall for any of us. We all like each other, we all like working together, and if we could do it, it’d be fun. But Warner Bros. – and I’m not hating on them – they just haven’t gotten back to us. It’s not a priority for them. It’s like a not-returning-phone-calls-thing.
However, Welling confirmed he has a pitch poster and animatic ready for James Gunn to review, should he schedule a meeting.
I know! We joked about it. Michael says, ‘Oh, James [Gunn] is so busy.’ I think it’d be a fun idea. We already have the animation done. I don’t know if Michael shared it already, but we have a poster for it. It’s [with] the cast and Lionel Luthor looming behind [them.] We want Al [Gough] and Miles [Millar] to write it. They’ve expressed interest, but they’re also busy working on Wednesday with Tim Burton. I think because it’s not a big financial gain for anybody, it’s getting less [priority.]
