Fans Just Discovered the Never-Before-Seen College Photo of Kate Middleton That Her Ex-roommate Posted

While Catherine, Princess of Wales, better known as Kate Middleton, found her love and later royal life soon after enrolling in St. Andrews, she was just a regular college gal beforehand. She had hobbies, and even a college roommate before moving in with Prince William.

Now, who was her roommate? Her freshman roommate was Laura Warshauer, a musician who has done music for movies like Chick Fight and Love or Whatever. And now, she just shared a truly touching, never-before-seen pic of her and Kate from freshman year of college; and the internet seriously loves it.

While Warshauer posted the photo in July 2024, it’s now going viral on a bunch of different outlets. In case you haven’t seen the photo, she posted the throwback to her Instagram with the caption reading, “Sending love to Kate Middleton, the future Queen of England and my university dormmate! This was us at a Hope Street flat party. I have the loveliest college memories with Kate. She is the kindest, most caring, down-to-earth, genuine person, and it’s incredible to see her shining so brightly and inspiring the world with her compassion and courage.”

In the photo, we see the pair of former roommates at a party, eating brownies. Warshauer rocked a deep V-neck black sweater, while Kat rocked a white turtleneck sweater. This just shows that the two knew how to rock timeless looks, and how much respect Warshauer has for her old roommate.

Now, this isn’t the first time Warshauer talked about Kate, and William. In a previous chat with People, she talked about how the pair had “natural chemistry” immediately when they all lived in St. Salvator’s Hall.

“Whenever Kate was in the room, Will was obviously paying attention to her,” she said. “When we’d be sitting at lunch in the dining hall and the two of them would be talking, it was amazing to see how natural it was, how they had so much to say to each other. Looking back, there were all these small moments—certainly moments where I was like, ‘Wow, this could really be something.'”
