Fearne Cotton enjoys time with stepchildren over Christmas amid Jesse Wood shock divorce

TV and radio presenter Fearne Cotton has spent time at home with her four children following the shock news of her divorce from husband Jesse Wood before Christmas

Fearne Cotton has enjoyed festive time with her four children amid her shock divorce from Jesse Wood.

The radio and TV presenter, 43, stunned fans when she announced that she and the son of Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood, 48, had called it quits after 10 years of marriage. She has been going through a tough time, after also revealing she was undergoing surgery after discovering two tumours on her jawline.

Amid their split, Fearne and Jessie insisted their priority will be their children. The pair welcomed two children together, Rex and Honey. Jesse also has two older children, Arthur and Lola, from a previous relationship. Fearne had some downtime over the Christmas break as she had all the four kids at home.

She shared a snap of the four children playing together in her kitchen as they all piled on top of each other. Fearne simply captioned the photo: "When all four kids are home." Another photo showed her stepdaughter Lola cuddling puppy Loopy. Jesse is yet to speak out on his split with Fearne, but the former kids TV star announced their breakup on Instagram.

Fearne said: "It is with a heavy heart that | let you all know that Jesse and I are ending our marriage. Our priority has been, and will always be, our children. We please ask that you respect the privacy of our family at this time." Fearne and Jesse tied the knot in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their family and friends in 2014. The star recently revealed that tensions were high during the lockdown, yet the split still came as a shock to fans.

This week, Fearne admitted to having a "weird burst of fun" following the separation. Speaking to comedian Joanne McNally on her Happy Palace, she said: "I'm having a little weird um burst of fun. I don't know why, it's come out of nowhere. It's like, oh I just want to go and get a bit p***ed and have some fun. I'm coming out of it a bit, I think it's all phases, but I I totally understand that sort of hyper independence. I think I've had that for so long maybe because I started work young."

However, Fearne admitted she'd been using 'unhealthy' coping mechanisms because she 'doesn't trust' people. She added: "Sometimes I don't trust that people are going to do what I need or support me in the right way. So I'm like 'no I'm doing everything on my own,' which is not great, but I but I know I can rely on myself. So I sort of stick to that and I know that that's not great, but it's just a coping mechanism I guess."

Shortly before lockdown, Fearne admitted her relationship was under pressure. Penning a column for Red Magazine, she admitted love "takes hard work". She added: "This year, Jesse and I hit a rough patch - he was away, touring relentlessly, [with his band, Reef]. I was trying to keep my own career going while looking after our kids and we were both desperately clinging on to our marriage."
