Frail Cybill Shepherd, 74, Makes Rare Outing in L.A. as She Struggles to Walk: Photos

The Taxi Driver actress wore a blue long-sleeved shirt, a pair of jeans and hid behind metallic sunglasses as her helper pushed her cart full of goods.
At one point, Shepherd placed her hand on the anonymous person's shoulder while she appeared to steady herself as she walked.

The Cybil star mainly stays out of the spotlight. However, when she does sit for interviews or makes appearances, she's always been candid about aging as an actress in Hollywood.
"It's not fun getting older, let's face it," Shepherd stated in a 2012 interview with CBS News. "But I think the most important thing, especially for women, is to love ourselves, especially as we age and to accept that there's more than the external shape, weight and stuff and it's more about a spiritual journey and what we can give back."

Despite the hurdles, the blonde beauty isn't afraid of what's to come. "You don't want to necessarily fight growing older. The reality is, we get so much better as we get older as women," she noted.

"We grow so much. And you know, men do, too. Sometimes, a younger man is a nice thing. A powerful younger man, I'm all for it," Sheperd said.

Just as The Last Picture Show star did with her illustrious film and television career, she's also tackled the aging process in her own unique way.
"One of my favorite sayings is to flaunt what you've got left," she emphasized to The Las Vegas Review-Journal in 2023. "I approach each age thinking this is the best time for me as a woman. I believe that if you love yourself as you age, it's easier to accept some of the changes."

"I also think at middle age we really learn to enjoy life because you know yourself. I don't think anyone has it all figured out until they're at least in their 40s," Sheperd emphasized.
Although she's getting older, Shepherd will never be afraid to be exactly who she is. "Vulnerability can be your superpower. The truth is women can be sensitive creatures unless we get mad and then watch out!" she said.
