The clip, posted by user @paulsavage2020, features the worker sliding smoothly down a steep, ice-covered driveway in the civil parish of Bradfield, located in South Yorkshire.
The light-hearted approach to an otherwise mundane task has resonated widely, with the video amassing more than 3.1 million views since it was posted on January 7.
A note overlaid on the video simply reads "sliding into 2025 like a boss."
According to a May 2023 report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), waste collection is among the industries with the highest levels of employment among refuse and recyclable material collectors, with an annual mean wage of $48,260.
The top paying states for refuse and recyclable material collectors in the U.S. are Illinois (offering an annual mean wage of $64,040), followed by Washington state ($63,740), California ($60,920), New York ($60,480) and Oregon ($58,200), the BLS report said.
