Tonight, Glastonbury 2025 coach tickets sold out in just 32 minutes as frustrated festival fans lashed out at the new queuing format.
This evening, millions of music fans from all over the world entered the Glastonbury ticket craze, hoping to get the chance to the attend the legendary festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset the next summer, the Mirror reports.
After the organisers decided to introduce a queuing system, fans, armed with several gadgets and carefully prepared spreadsheets, participated in what was hailed as one of the most fiercely fought ticket sales ever.
Coach tickets went on sale today at 6pm to reserve a spot at Worthy Farm from June 25 to 29, ahead of a public admission sale set for Sunday at 9am. With a £75 deposit (including coach fare) due today and the whole amount due by April 2025, those who are lucky enough to secure a ticket will have to pay a whopping £378.50.
Organisers confirmed that the coach tickets sold out in just 32 minutes. "The Glastonbury 2025 tickets + coach travel which were on sale this evening have now all been sold," announced the official Glastonbury X account, thanking everyone who managed to purchase one.
Many Glastonbury hopefuls expressed their shared annoyance at being stuck on 'two green bars' in the new format, where attendees were assigned a spot in a queue.
Social media was awash with images of fans' Glastonbury ticket setups, showing them anxiously watching the dreaded green bar slowly inching forward.
One fumed: "Peak British - everyone who is trying to get Glastonbury tickets sharing that they are also stuck on two green bars." Another posted: "It's the (green bars of) hope that kills you." Meanwhile, a third quipped: "Hello everyone, I'd like to announce the first Glastonbury headliner: Two Green Bars." While someone else said: "This is a joke."
