GLASTONBURY fans are convinced an R&B legend will play the festival in 2025 - despite suffering a blunder when she last performed at Worthy Farm.
The superstar - who has sold more than 100 million records worldwide - will be in the UK for a concert at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on July 3 next year, which is perfect timing for Glastonbury.
The festival will wrap up less than a week before Mary J Blige takes to the stage with 50 Cent in London.
And the timing hasn’t been lost on fans, with one writing on social media: “Never seen her live so this will be a big treat! I wonder if she's in the UK enough to do Glastonbury too.”
Another pointed out it’s not unlikely given the fact Mary, 53, did Glastonbury in 2015 - but also mentioned the Just Fine hitmaker’s on-stage slip-up.
Despite the fact that Worthy Farm is in Pilton, Somerset, when addressing the crowd during her set Mary said: “Hello London.”
Nine-time Grammy award winner Mary has a career spanning more than three decades and is known for hits including Family Affair and I’m Goin’ Down.
Festival fans have already speculated that 50 Cent will make an appearance at Glastonbury due to the timing of his concert with Mary.
Taking to Reddit one fan wrote: "I would love this. Would be great on the Pyramid mid afternoon on Friday or Saturday, he’s got so many bangers."
Another said: "This is gonna happen! I know it is!"
A third wrote: "I can see it happening. No idea where they would put him as he won't be headlining the Pyramid but he is still incredibly popular!”
It comes after fans worked out they've been singing the wrong lyrics to Mary's hit Family Affair for years.
Olivia Rodrigo set to headline Glastonbury 2025 as bookmakers halt bets
The part in question is the catchy chorus when many believed Mary was singing “Don’t need no hateration holleration, in this dancery".
TikTok star @Kamilleoffical took to the app to correct fans on the actual lyrics which has left viewers in shock.
In the clip TikToker Kamille explained: “She’s not actually saying ‘dancery’ I’m gonna inform you Mary J Blige is actually saying Dance Soiree like a Soiree party you know."
Glastonbury 2025 - rumoured acts
THE Glastonbury line-up hasn't been confirmed - despite the fact tickets for the 2025 event sold out in minutes. Here are some rumoured acts.
Basement Jaxx sparked speculation they will be playing at Worthy Fam after leaving a "Glastonbury shaped gap" in their latest tour schedule.
It came after the hit duo announced their first live shows in 10 years - with gig-goers calling out a key "clue" in the order of their concert dates.
Yet acts including Olivia Rodrigo, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Eminem are rumoured to be in the mix.
Canadian songstress Alanis Morrisette and Simple Minds have also been tipped to take to the stage.
The event will run from Wednesday, June 25 to Sunday June 29 for 2025.
