Fans are now hoping that an acclaimed musician will be part of the line-up for next year's Glastonbury Festival after he shared an update on his music career with them this week.
Tom Misch, 29, revealed recently that he will release his fourth album next year, after dropping his new extended play Six Songs on Friday. He shared the news on Instagram and there's now excitement over the prospect of a tour.
And there's even speculation that the Ivor Novello Award nominee could perform at Glastonbury whilst promoting the album. The five-day festival, which is held at Worthy Farm in Somerset, will run from June 25 to 29 next year.
Tom was announced as part of the line-up for the festival in 2020 alongside collaborator Yussef Dayes, with whom he released the album What Kinda Music. The festival ended up being cancelled amid the Covid pandemic though.
Following the news of him releasing an album next year, some fans speculated about him potentially finally getting to perform at Glastonbury in a thread on Reddit this week. The poster wrote: "With Tom Misch due to release an album in 2025, could this mean he will be on the lineup? He was supposed to play in 2020 with Yussef Dayes and obviously never in the end due to Covid so this could be a highly likely rumour imo!"

Announcing his new project Six Songs, Tom wrote on Thursday: "This Friday I'm releasing an EP! A collection of songs including the ones I've already been putting out, mostly older songs that need to see the light of day before I start releasing my album next year ... so stay tuned this Friday. And 2025 is gunna bring you the album I've been working on ... very happy to start releasing music again. I've missed it."
The speculation that he could appear at Glastonbury comes as fans await organisers unveiling the full line-up. Rod Stewart is the only confirmed act so far, with him set to perform in the 'legends' slot on the Sunday afternoon.
More recently, Nile Rodgers announced that he will perform at the festival too. It's also been rumoured that Stevie Wonder could headline the Pyramid Stage and that Neil Young will perform on the same stage.
There has also been speculation recently that Chappell Roan, Olivia Rodrigo and Charli XCX have signed up for the festival. Whilst there's recently been discussion over the prospect of Basement Jaxx being part of next year's line-up.
