Gordon Ramsay admits 'it kills me' as he makes heartbreaking confession about children

Gordon Ramsay previously made a heartbreaking confession about missing important milestones in his children's lives.

The celebrity chef, who turns 58 today, shares Megan, 26, 24-year-old twins Jack and Holly, Tilly, 22, Oscar, five, and Jesse, who turns one next week, with wife Tana Ramsay, whom he married in 1996.

Before the births of his two youngest children, Gordon comforted a contestant on MasterChef after she broke down in tears over missing her son's first day of school.

Admitting that he could relate to her situation, Gordon explained how people often have to make sacrifices to get to where they want in life.

"Chloe, everybody needs to sacrifice to get to the top. That's life. This competition's a phenomenon," Gordon said.

He added: "The rewards at the top are extraordinary. I can give you 25 examples of what I've missed with my four kids over the last 10 years. And it kills me."

"But you get to a certain level of success in life, and there's a price to pay for that. So park that and continue on that journey," Gordon concluded.

Shortly after Gordon and Tana, 50, welcomed their sixth child, the couple revealed their family was officially complete.

“What an amazing birthday present please welcome Jesse James Ramsay, 7lbs 10oz whopper!! One more bundle of love to the Ramsay brigade!! 3 boys, 3 girls... Done," the TV presenter wrote on Instagram.

On her own social media page, Tana admitted she struggled during her pregnancy after she miscarried their son, Rocky, at five months in 2016.

She wrote: "It’s been a nerve wracking 9 months but we’ve made it and we have been blessed with this little bundle."

Confirming they would be having no more children, the broadcaster added: "Ramsay family definitely complete. Jesse James Ramsay we love you so much."

Gordon also reflected on the trauma of losing Rocky, revealing it was "really tough" on their family. Despite their heartbreaking loss, the restaurant owner said it brought them even closer together.

"Losing Rocky was really tough, and then just being there and watching the trauma unfold, it's just this life-changing moment," he told People magazine in 2023.
