Halle Berry looked half her age as she recreated her famous Oscars look on the runway.
The actress, 58, made history in 2002 when she became the first black woman to win the Best Actress award at the Oscars for her heartbreaking portrayal of a widower in Monster’s Ball. Halle looked stunning as she wore a burgundy Elie Saab gown, which featured a sheer bodice and applique flowers, and more than two decades later, she wore the show-stopping dress again for a special event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The fashion event, 1001 Seasons of Elie Saab, was a celebration of the designer's work and Middle Eastern fashion, and for the finale, Halle stunned the star-studded audience as she sashayed down the runway. The gown was previously on display at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, and Vogue Arabia shared a video on social media of the award-winning actress beaming as she showcased her incredible look 22 years later.

The event featured 300 pieces of Elie’s work from over the years, and also featured appearances from Camila Cabello, Monica Bellucci, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Poppy Delevingne, as well as performances from Céline Dion and Jennifer Lopez.
Speaking about the impact Halle had on his career, Elie said the actress cemented his brand when she wore the gown to accept her history-making Oscar. “Halle Berry made the name Elie Saab more popular… She managed to really put the name Elie Saab on the international market. [That time] was a better time for cinema in general,” the designer told Vogue Australia. “[Halle Berry] was the first woman of colour [to receive the Oscar award for Best Actress in 2002]… It was elegant and daring and chic. I think this moment was a very exceptional moment for cinema.”

Music icon Celine ended the show with a powerful performance that left the audience in tears, and the self-confessed Elie Saab superfan thanked the designer for his support over the years. “Being here (in Riyadh) for the first time is kind of a dream come true. His (Elie Saab’s) generosity, his talent, he has been singing with me because I have been wearing his dresses, his talent, for many, many, years,” she said.
