Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking has just launched on Amazon Prime Video, and the magical competition series features none other than actress Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley in the beloved film franchise.

Hosted by Harry Potter stars James and Oliver Phelps, the quirky show will see Bonnie, 33, join her former on-screen brothers to judge the contestants' baking creations and share some of her fondest memories from filming the movies.

Born in London, Bonnie made her acting debut in the Harry Potter films and has since become known for her environmental activism. She is the second child of jewellery company owners Sheila Teague and Gary Wright, and grew up on the set of Harry Potter, developing a passion for filmmaking.

Interestingly, Bonnie's elder brother had read the first two books in the series and told her she reminded him of Ginny Weasley, prompting her to ask her mum if she could audition "on a whim". She went on to make her first appearance in the Philosopher's Stone and later founded her own film production company, BonBonLumiere, in 2012, directing several projects.

The star, formerly settled in San Diego, was once betrothed to her Harry Potter colleague Jamie Campbell Bower.

Their romance spanned from April 2011 until June 2012, during which Campbell Bower sang his happiness to The Daily: "I am engaged. I'm very happy It's a wonderful, wonderful time."

Flaunting her wedding band snap, she enthused: "Yesterday was the best day of my life thanks to my husband!!"

Fast forward to April the following year, Wright stunned fans with news they were expecting their first child, and come September, their baby boy entered the world.

On social media, she delved into the blissful homebirth experience as she introduced her son, Elio Ocean Wright Lococo.

Overflowing with joy, she added: "We're all healthy and happy. Andrew and I are so in love with our son! So grateful for our birth team that have held our hands throughout and made the journey so joyous and expanding."
