A spokesperson issued a statement: "At this stage, there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the discovery, and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
Martyn's fans rushed to social media to share messages of respect and remembrance. One person said: "RIP… He loved Skipton and he did a great Dalek impression. You may know him as 'The Pan Man' from Britain's Got Talent, but Martyn Crofts was our friend."
"Sadly, he was found in Skipton reservoir today, after going missing yesterday. He will be a miss[ed]. Rest in peace my friend."
Martyn appeared on BGT back in 2012 and was known as The Pan Man. He impressively made it all the way through to the semi-finals while impersonating a Dalek, one of the main villains in the sci-fi franchise Doctor Who.

Croft described himself as "the only professional Dalek impersonator on this planet" when he auditioned for the show. He impressed Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon while entertaining the crowd, however Simon Cowell was not so keen.
The Syco Entertainment mogul described Martyn's impression as "arguably the most stupid act I've ever seen on this show." Despite Simon's scathing remarks, Martyn gained a following of loyal BGT fans.
Croft was surprisingly in demand and even won Search for a Star. According to reports, Martyn had recently been performing in residential homes to elderly residents, alongside DJing at clubs and pubs.
He was also reportedly hosting karaoke contests across the country.
