TM: Hosts speaks about Holly Willoughby's return to ITV

Holly Willoughby has clapped back at Phillip Schofield in an apparent thinly veiled dig on Instagram. It comes after Phillip, 62, returned to the small screen and made several revelations about his former ITV colleagues.

During his TV return on Channel 5's show: Cast Away, Phillip spent 10 days alone on a deserted island off Madagascar. He also made some scathing remarks, despite not naming anyone specifically.

However, it was obvious that Holly was in the firing line as he reflected on his sensational exit from This Morning last year. According to Heat, it has been said that she was left "blindsided and hurt" by the comments.

It was reported that Phillip gave Holly the nickname of "the witch", and accused her of "bringing him down". It came after Phillip embarked on an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a younger male who worked on the show, which led to his resignation.

Holly has now posted a cryptic Instagram photo which apparently hits back at the 'witch' jibe. Sharing a photo of Kate Moss on a runway dressed as a typical witch, she added the caption: "Happy Halloween."

In other news, Holly teased fans with an exciting new TV project, just over one year since she sensationally quit her role on the ITV show This Morning.

The 43 year old broke her social media silence with an announcement about an undisclosed TV show and expressed her eagerness about its upcoming release.

Posing in a black floral dress and posing on a radiator backstage, she captioned her Instagram post: "I’ll be here, warming my [peach emoji] on the radiator until you get to see what we filmed. A night of glorious giggles."

The photo was Holly's first social media post in over a month, with fellow celebrities such as Christine Lampard and Clodagh McKenna flocking to the comments section to give her praise.

During Phillip Schofield's TV return, he lashed out at ITV, alleging a lack of loyalty during the height of the controversy, and he excoriated three individuals at the network, branding them as "three sh*ts" in a fiery diatribe that hinted at Willoughby, his former This Morning co-host, being one of those targeted.

ITV has been previously approached by Express Online for a statement regarding Schofield's claims about the event. They declined to comment.

A source at the time revealed: "As well as saying she had brought him down, he said he couldn't believe his TV sister would do this to him."
