Home Bargains shoppers could save themselves more money by opting for the £3.99 version

Home Bargains is truly living up to its name, offering a new handbag at a bargain price that could easily be mistaken for a more expensive brand. The budget superstore regularly refreshes its stock with the latest trends, from skincare products to food.

One of the newest items catching shoppers' eyes is its £3.99 Originals Black Crossbody Bag. With its long crossbody strap, this bag could be handy for daily use or travel.

It also features two zips, one in the centre and another decorative zip across the front. At first glance, the £3.99 bag could pass for a more expensive designer version.

ASOS is selling AllSaints' Half Moon Nylon Crossbody Bag online for £89. Both bags share a similar shape and texture, featuring a plain design, adjustable straps and a zip-top fastening.

However, by choosing Home Bargains' version, shoppers could save around £85. Other brands are selling a crescent-shaped black crossbody bag, similar to Home Bargains', which could also be mistaken for a pricier label, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Uniqlo's popular Round Mini Shoulder Bag costs £14 and recently went viral on TikTok. It became so sought-after online that it faced low stock due to high demand.

Like Home Bargains' own brand version, the more expensive handbag features a crescent shape, long crossbody strap and zip. By opting for the bargain store's £3.99 option, shoppers could save themselves £10 on a similar-looking bag.

However, the £3.99 option is only available in black. Meanwhile, Uniqlo offers its crescent bag in a variety of colours - including dark green, cream and red.

Elsewhere at Home Bargains, shoppers can buy themselves a handwash soap that they say smells just like a designer perfume. For just £1.29, customers can grab the store's Xalien product that is reminding buyers of Thiery Mugler's £95 Alien perfume.
