Hugh Grant Doesn’t Remember Kissing Luann de Lesseps After She Claims They Made Out, Plus RHONY Star Shades Reboot Cast: “They Gave It a Try”

Hugh Grant reacted to Bravo star Luann de Lesseps’ claim that they once took shots and “heavily” made out. He suggested they met “15 years ago,” but he didn’t “recall” taking shots or “kissing” her. Meanwhile, Luann shaded the reboot cast of her former show, Real Housewives of New York, declaring they “gave it a try.”

According to Luann, she once caught wind that Hugh was eating at a restaurant nearby at The Hamptons. She then orchestrated her way to a table right next to him, and pretended to accidentally bump him with her chair. She soon offered to buy him a shot – allegedly he agreed and they eventually made out.

“Steady on,” wrote Hugh on X, reacting to Luann’s story. “I do remember meeting a charming RHNY in a restaurant, but I’d like to stress it was about 15 years ago.”

“I don’t recall shots or kissing,” he went on, “but her memory might be better than mine.”

Earlier this month, Luann shared her Hugh Grant story in an interview with TooFab.

“A girlfriend of mine called me and was like Hugh Grant is at Pierre’s [a restaurant at The Hamptons]. I said, ‘I’ll be right over.’ I called and said, ‘Get the table right next to Hugh Grant.’ I had my family over, my brother was visiting me, and I said, ‘Let’s go’,” claimed Luann.

“I said, ‘Sit me right behind him.’ I pushed out my chair real fast and I bumped into him — flirting 101 — I bumped into him and said, ‘Oh I’m so sorry.’ He knows who I am because I know Andy,” she added. “I go, ‘I’m so sorry. Can I buy you a shot, I feel terrible.’ He goes, ‘Okay, but I’ll come have a shot with you if you do one with me’ … Before you know it, we are taking shots and making out … heavily at the table! My brother was like, ‘I can’t believe you’re making out with Hugh Grant’, and I was like, ‘Neither can I.'”

Around the same time, Luann threw shade at the new cast of RHONY.

On “My Friend My Soulmate My Podcast,” host Vicki Gunvalson shared her belief that the RHONY reboot is not doing well.

“No,” Luann agreed, laughing. “Listen, they’re not us. They’re great girls. They have … You know, they gave it a try.”

“But you know, they’ll never be us,” she added.
