Former I'm A Celeb star Vicky Pattison has called Tulisa Contostavlos' jungle exit a "travesty." The singer was voted out during last night's episode, making her the third campmate to leave the show.
Upon hearing the news, close friend Vicky took to Instagram to express her thoughts. The 37-year-old wrote: “The fact that Tulisa has been voted out is a complete travesty. She was an icon in that jungle. I am devastated.” Vicky had been rooting for her close friend, possibly hoping for her to win, just as she did in her own series.
Vicky charmed viewers with her quick wit and willingness to take on the trials. She made it to the final alongside Ferne McCann and Union J’s George Shelley. She won the 2015 series with a remarkable 70.17% of the public vote, solidifying her status as I'm A Celebrity royalty.
Fans, campmates, and I'm A Celebrity hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly were all surprised by Tulisa’s elimination last night.
Tasked with reading out the star who had been voted out of the jungle by the public, Ant and Dec were "really shocked" when they realised Tulisa would be leaving. Joining the spin-off series Unpacked for a catch-up, the pair were asked about their thoughts on the result.
The pair both asked: "Who saw that coming? Not me!" Dec said she was a "big" and "integral" part of the show this year, as Ant confessed: "That was a real shock for me that was."
Dec went on to say: "It's so hard to call it this year. There's people at home going I like them all, I don't know who to vote for, I'll vote for this person tonight," suggesting viewers wrongly believed campmates would be safe.
Viewers tuning into the show were not happy though with some saying they "didn't buy" Tulisa being the least voted for campmate. Taking to X, one fan said: "I'm not buying it!" Another agreed: "I don’t believe it," as a third said: "No way." Another commented read: "Quite surprised to see Tulisa be the third celebrity to leave. I think she left too early but goes to show that's how strong the camp is this year."
Others agreed it wasn't expected, as one wrote: "I’m really shocked to see Tulisa has been evicted tonight," as a further comment said: "This was a shock." On her way out, Tulisa told Ant and Dec it was "hard in there" as she found jungle life tough.
Upon leaving Tulisa said that the experience was a "whirlwind" and she couldn't believe what she'd achieved. "You're just going to be more grateful for everything. The food you eat, the people that you love... you don't realise how good you've got it," she said. She also said it was "testing" in there, but she stayed true to herself.
