Reverend Richard Coles poked fun at Dean McCullough following his departure from I'm A Celebrity

Campmate Reverend Richard Coles made a teasing dig at former co-star Dean McCullough shortly after the radio host left the I'm A Celebrity jungle over the weekend.

It was announced on Sunday's episode of the ITV show that Dean, 32, had become the second campmate to be voted out of camp. The aftermath of the BBC Radio 1 presenter's departure was then shown to viewers on Monday night.

His campmates expressed surprise over the news and it was suggested that they would feel the absence of such a "big character". Following the eviction, Rev. Richard, 62, also took the opportunity to poke fun at Dean, who had been criticised over his approach to chores in camp. Dean was once tasked with carrying pots of water but said that he didn't want to do it, which prompted some tension in camp.

As the remaining campmates reflected on the eviction, GK Barry, 25, commented: "It feels like the biggest personality has gone? That will really affect the camp." Rev. Richard responded: "Who's gonna not fetch our water now?" There was some laugher in camp over the jibe and Maura Higgins, 34, reacted: "Richard, you're a funny man."

Earlier in the episode though, Rev. Richard had made his support for Dean known when it was announced that he would be leaving the show. After hugging the departing campmate, Rev. Richard told him: "Love you. Love you so much."

He wasn't the only campmate to have supported Dean. Oti Mabuse, 34, described him as the "life of the camp." She said: "He just brought us all together. He was the life of the camp. He was cheeky, he was naughty and I think honestly the camp has lost a really big character."

Whilst Danny Jones, 38, said moments after it was revealed that Dean would be leaving camp: "I don't understand." Reflecting in the bush telegraph, he later added: "I am so shocked because he's such a big personality. So it just shows that anything can happen. We are literally speechless."

Several other campmates also expressed their surprise that Dean was the second person to leave I'm A Celebrity this year following Jane Moore 's exit. GK said she felt "a bit in shock," whilst Maura said it's "always who you don't think".

Later in the episode, it was announced that Tulisa Contostavlos, 36, had become the third campmate to be voted out of the jungle in the new series. She described her experience on the show as a "whirlwind" following her exit.
