Gillian McKeith was the one of the most iconic stars to ever take part on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

During her first stint in 2010, fans watched her famously faint halfway through her trials and clash with Shaun Ryder.

And the health guru brought the drama back when she returned to the ITV show for I’m A Celebrity All Stars when she snuck spices into camp in her knickers.

This year, the star has been watching the 24th series and sharing her pearls of wisdom for future contestants on the show.

In her column for Express.co.uk, the star has opened up about the most challenging Bushtucker trial this year’s campmates will face in the jungle.

After Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Cole settle into the camp, the TV personality has revealed which Bushtucker trial is the hardest on the show.

She told us: “It would be underground in a coffin, wrapped in chains lying down with rats and water seeping up all over my body in the pitch black.

“No way out until you can find the key to open the padlocks. Oh wait. I did that in my first time in the jungle.”

She added: “I never fully recovered from that horrendous experience.” The mum-of-two went on to share how the gruelling trial could still get worse.

The Scottish presenter went on: “To make that trial even worse, for me would be any similar version in a small.”

She added that it would need to include: “confined space, underground with the lid shut, pitch black with massive spiders, giant meal worms, rats, mice, roaches, snakes and eels. I would call it subterranean inferno.”

The doting mum went on to reveal that she has a special connection with one campmate after struggling early on in the experience.

Gillian explained: “Scaredy-cat Dean [McCullough is] currently enjoying the ’Gillian McKeith Experience’ as he is doing all the trials [is] and who I love watching.”

She went on to defend the radio presenter on the show after facing criticism online. The broadcaster continued: “I don’t want to hear any nonsense about it not being fair that Dean is getting all the trials.

“He is genuinely scared and unfortunately the viewers vote for celebs who squirm. So, before you roll your eyes or diss Dean, think about it for a minute. The trials are no joke with everything that crawls from snakes to scary spiders. Most folks would not last two minutes.

“Give Dean some credit as he is trying and doing better every day. He shows up. Fear is fear. Phobias are real and there’s no escape in the jungle. A little respect please. Dean is proving himself and that is what the jungle is all about.”

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here airs on weekdays from 9pm on ITV1 or catch up on ITVX.
