Annie and David announced that they were expecting their first child together in a social media post on July 5, 2024.
“The test results said I’m pregnant!!!!” she captioned a video announcement via Instagram, adding heart and crying emojis to express her excitement.
‘90 Day Fiance’ Star Annie Has Been Open About her Fertility Journey
After making their reality TV debut during season 3 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Annie and David went on to document their love story on David & Annie: After the 90 Days beginning in January 2022.
They were initially hesitant to have children because David – who has three children from a previous relationship – is older and he previously got a vasectomy. The possibility of them having children seemed even less likely after Annie admitted she wasn’t sure that she wanted to become a mother during season 1 of their spinoff.
However, Annie revealed she had a change of heart after meeting her nephew in 2023. They ultimately agreed that they would start to try to conceive, and David underwent a vasectomy reversal.
Annie and David first announced that they had begun their “major journey” to become pregnant by undergoing IVF in January 2024. “We look forward to the next steps and will keep you posted. They were absolutely amazing,” he told his social media followers at the time. “Time to head back to Arizona.”
The couple shared another update about Annie’s IVF journey in March 2024, and they thanked fans for their support. “The emotional roller coaster of IVF is hard to articulate. We will know in the next week if the embryo has in fact become a baby,” the reality star wrote in the caption. “We will update as we know. I thank all of the providers and everyone who have been involved with us since January when we began this journey.”
By June 2024, David and Annie shared another major update when they revealed her plans to undergo an embryo transfer. “We so appreciate each and every one of you have been part of this Journey for the last 7 months,” David told fans.
On June 26, 2024, Annie declared that “the embryo transfer was successful.”
“Thank you @drboostanfarivf for being such an amazing doctor for me, you help and my dreams come true. Thank you everyone for your love and support. And The most important person in my heart and my life is my husband David sweet potato king thank you so much,” she wrote via Instagram. “Thank you @hrcfertility and @hrcfertilityembryology and all the nurses, Angels, Michelle and everyone, you guys are awesome people and so kind. Thank you so very much. Form today everything will be in God hands and I will do my best for you ‘My Child.’”
‘90 Day Fiance’ Star Annie Has Been Documenting Her Pregnancy on Social Media
After announcing their pregnancy in July 2024, Annie and David gave fans a sneak peek into their baby shower in an Instagram post in October 2024. “We had such an amazing time at the baby shower,” Annie captioned photos from the celebration. “Thank you to everyone who was able to make the party and to everyone who has sent us their thoughts, love and gifts for the baby.”
