Stephen Mulhern kicks audience member out of Royal Variety Performance
One of ITV’s richest stars rakes in around £85,000 every single week – and lives a private life away from the cameras.
With two companies under his belt, it appears Stephen Mulhern could be one of the broadcaster’s most well-off stars, after staring his career as a Red Coat at Butlins before wading into the world of telly.
The 47-year-old started out on CITV presenting children’s programmes like Tricky TV in the early noughties. But his career really took off while as a presenter on Britain’s Got Talent and Catchphrase, before replacing Phillip Schofield on Dancing on Ice alongside Holly Willoughby.
Stephen also has a production company of his own, Blue Eye Productions Ltd., and he’s the only director. Figures from the company revealed he earned more than £4million from February 2023-February 2024.
Shareholder funds for that period were £4,035,019 – that’s £336k a month, or £85,062 per week.

Stephen was also a director of JFDI Productions Ltd. until October 2024. That company earned £2,896,702 in net assets between April 2022-2023.
Back in 2018, he was estimated to have a net worth of around £3million – though it appears that number has seen a huge hike since.
Stephen has always been very private about his personal life, never revealing much about his partners or family. He previously dated soap star Emma Barton – famed for playing Honey Mitchell in EastEnders – from 2008, when they starred in a pantomime together.

By 2011 they’d called it quits, with Stephen admitting things came to a “natural end”. Now he’s thought to be single, admitting in 2022 that he hadn’t been on a date in four years.
In October, Stephen lost his dad Christopher and had to delay his Butlins shows while dealing with grief and his own health scare, being rushed to hospital in November after falling ill during a meal.
