Fans of The Chase were left outraged as they watched two players take the low offer before facing Anne Hegerty.
During Wednesday's show (November 13) of the famous ITV programme, Bradley Walsh welcomed Alex, Izzy, Hothan and Iain, as they faced the chaser in a bid to win some cash.
First to face The Governess was 31-year-old Alex, who made a strong start by answering seven questions correctly in the cash builder round.
Choosing a safe approach, Alex decided to stick with his initial offer of £7,000, reports the Express.
Unfortunately, Anne managed to catch him with no trouble after he failed to answer a question correctly during the head-to-head.
Next up was 28-year-old Izzy, who brought £6,000 to the table. She seemed unfazed by Anne's high offer of £56,000, she was visibly torn between the other two options.
"I don't want to go low and then have loads of chances," Izzy told Bradley before Anne interjected: "She wants to go low but she's afraid of being shamed."
Izzy opted for the lower offer of £2,000, explaining that she "really wants" a place in the final chase.
This decision left people watching at home utterly outraged. Although Anne understood Izzy's decision as she watched Alex get knocked out moments before.
Despite Anne closing in, Izzy successfully made it to the final chase.
The third player to take on the chaser was Hothan, who answered the four questions correctly in this round.
Despite Izzy hinting that she regretted taking the low offer, Hothan said she was going to "play it safe" and went for the low offer of £1,000.
Witnessing two players take the low offer was the last straw for viewers, as they took to social media to say they were switching off.
"FFS- anymore weeks like this with low offer takers & it's goodbye from me!" one viewer commented, while another remarked: “Switched over to Pointless."
A third wrote: "Why do these people bother going on #TheChase if all they're going to take is the low offer???? Not really worth the stress is it?"
Whilst another agreed: "What is the point in taking the low offer all the time? You’re there to win big money."
In agreement, another person posted: "F**k me, this show really has gone downhill. Everybody seems to be going low nowadays. Really shows you the desperate state our country's in."

After Hothan secured a spot in the final chase, Iain decided to take a risk and went for Anne's high offer of £87,000.
However, his knowledge fell short against The Governess, and he was eliminated before he could boost the team’s total to £90,000.
Izzy and Hothan managed to answer just nine questions correctly in the final chase, but Anne caught up to them with more than a minute to spare.
