During a heartfelt segment on This Morning, viewers calling in with their stories of kindness brought host Alison Hammond to tears.
Wednesday's show featured Alison and co-host Cat Deeley discussing the theme of kindness with author Rosie Nixon, in line with World Kindness Day.
One touching tale came from a caller named Abigail, who shared how her father's failing eyesight prompted a local bridal shop owner to offer a special moment for him to see his daughter in a wedding dress.
Overwhelmed by the story, Alison admitted, "This is making me emotional! " and had to dab at her eyes while Rosie warned, "Don't because you'll set me off!"
Alison, 49, also opened up about her boyfriend David after hearing from another caller, Anita, who recounted a memorable encounter with Alison on a Pullman train reports OK!
Anita praised Alison, saying, "Alison Hammond you are a wonderful person who made a lady feel so special." She explained that she had been invited on the train by her husband, the guard, after completing chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Recalling the meeting, Alison said, "I remember you, you came into my cabin area!" Anita expressed gratitude for Alison's kindness, noting that she was never rushed and that Alison took the time to ask about her experiences and health journey.
She continued: "Alison, I know you're from the Midlands, we're such special people. We've always got a smile and a kind word. I'm like yourself, I'm kind, but sometimes you do get hurt being kind. But you, Alison, I can't tell you what you did that day."

As they parted ways, Alison highlighted that Anita had just done something very considerate herself – she had not disclosed who Alison was with on the train that day: "Anita, whats lovely about you, you haven't mentioned who I was with.
"That was my very first date with my boyfriend. You met my boyfriend before anybody else knew about it!" Alison, who is currently hosting The Great British Bake Off as well as This Morning, maintains her love life private.
However, it was unveiled earlier this year that she was dating 26-year-old David Putnam, with the couple having been together since December last year.
