J. Cole fans unite! The rapper has announced that his Dreamville Festival is set to return in 2025 for the annual event’s 5th anniversary. On Tuesday (Nov. 26), the rapper and the internationally recognized entertainment brand/ multi-platinum record label he cofounded advised listeners to mark their calendars for April 5-6.
Set for Raleigh, NC at Dorothea Dix Park, the news comes after the 2024 event this spring brought 100,000 festival attendees from all 50 states, Washington D.C., and over 20 countries to the city. The outdoor event also brought performances from SZA, Nicki Minaj, 50 Cent, Key Glock, Lil Yachty, ScHoolboy Q, Sexyy Red, and more, as well as a public apology from J. Cole to Kendrick Lamar.
Ahead of the event, J. Cole issued the Grammy-nominated Might Delete Later featuring the track “7-Minute Drill.” In the song, he took aim at the Compton rhymer amid the feud entangling the pair in rap beef with Drake, Metro Boomin, Future, The Weeknd, and more. As he closed Dreamville Festival, J. Cole expressed he felt pressured to respond, and has since deleted the song from the official album.
2024’s festival also generated an economic impact of $145+ million for the greater Wake County area, according to a press release. Next year, Dreamville Festival plans to continue to represent North Carolina with dozens of local vendors, food trucks, artisans, and muralists spread across the Dix Park festival grounds.
Additionally, attendees can expect site-wide art installations, with the chance to learn more about local community organizations through Dreamville Foundation’s Nonprofit Row and the opportunity to take a spin on the iconic Dreamville Ferris Wheel.
The 2025 ticket presales will begin next month on December 11 at 9:00 a.m. ET, offering two-day GA, GA+, and various VIP packages. The least expensive tickets will be available to the general public upon release, with prices increasing as the event date approaches. Find more details on the official website.
