Jay-Z accused of avoiding paternity test due to alleged underage affair

Rymir Satterthwaite, the man claiming to be Jay-Z's son, has shared why he believes the rapper has resisted taking a paternity test for more than a decade.

Satterthwaite, 31, alleges that Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, has avoided resolving the issue due to his mother, Wanda, being underage at the time of their alleged relationship.

The story of Jay-Z's alleged son

Speaking in a recent interview to the Sun, Satterthwaite stated, "My late mother, Wanda, was just 16 years old when she became pregnant with me, and for years I have sought clarity about my identity. This is not about greed or spectacle-it's about uncovering the truth and ensuring all parties are held accountable."

The legal dispute began in 2010 when Satterthwaite first approached the courts seeking a paternity test.

Despite numerous filings and accusations of fraud and judicial misconduct, Jay-Z has denied the claims and argued that New Jersey courts lack jurisdiction over him.

Satterthwaite's godmother, Dr. Lillie Coley, believes the rapper's refusal stems from Wanda's age at the time.

"I think behind the scenes, he's scared," she said.

"He's not doing this because of Rymir's mother's age... At the end of the day, we were trying to do it behind the scenes, but then it was brought to our attention that there was an age problem."

Satterthwaite also criticized the court system, alleging a conspiracy to protect the music mogul.

He and Coley claim they have lost over $100,000 in legal fees and have accused the rapper's legal team of placing illegal liens on their home.

Reflecting on the emotional toll, Satterthwaite expressed gratitude for his mother's dedication before her passing.

"She fought this case until she passed... She did everything to help me find the truth," he said.

Despite the lengthy battle, Satterthwaite insists his pursuit isn't about money or fame.

"I never had hard feelings against [Jay-Z]. I just wanted to know the truth," he explained.

"If it was wrong, it was wrong. If it was right, we could have grown and had a relationship."

Representatives for Jay-Z have not commented on the latest claims.
