Jay-Z’sis keeping the pressure up on attorney Tony Buzbee, accusing him of filing a lawsuit against him without meeting with the client in person.
Buzbee is representing Jane Doe who alleges that Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs sexually assaulted her at an MTV Music Awards afterparty in September 2000.
Jane Doe says she was 13 at the time of the alleged assault but even her own father has no recollection of that night.
“Mr. Carter seeks only to hold Mr. Buzbee to the ethical standards that constrain any responsible attorney who would solemnly sign his name to allegations in court,” Jay’s attorney, Alex Spiro wrote.
He is calling for Buzbee to be sanctioned for not doing his due diligence and making sure Doe’s claims were legitimate.
Buzbee tells TMZ that “he did, in fact, personally interview the plaintiff, as did four other lawyers,’ the outlet reported, noting that he said that ‘anyone who says otherwise has their own agenda.”
